Best I can think of is to try finding a flame that goes in the direction you want on Google Images, save it, then copy it and paste it on the image you want and scale it to the proper size. This should be on a new Transparent layer by the way, then go in with eraser and remove the background from the flame, then use the Gaussian Blur tool to get rid of any sharp edges.

if u sent me a raw photoshop file, then I wouldn't have to search for an image, background and text. Tho if I plan to change those then it wouldn't matter except for the render, which is very well cut btw.

and also...the jedi custom pak...it has a ton of seemingly redundant jpg's...like ones that are already there....which should i edit?

or should i just gimp all of 'em?

I like the back ground, I think it would be better if the wave was more fluid meaning there was less hesitation at the end of the loop as it fades and a bit longer before it resets. As far as the figure... I am not that tough, I do not look like a fighter. LOVE the back ground though. With the union of what Aard did and that back ground...
