Overheating Empty Overheating

Post by behalok Sat Jun 12, 2010 12:19 pm

Well the usual stuff... My computer just can't take the 37-38 C warmth that comes with summer here, so I won't be in game until I manage to fix the cooling of the CPU, as it runs at 108 C when I'm ingame.

If desktop, open the box, buy a fan, turn fan on the PC. my old PC had a problem like that for sometime, and i found my way to cool it down. it Really works trust me. at least till you clean up all the dust in it, number one reason why pc's overheat.

Unless you are an advanced hardware person do not buy water cooler since that is basically having tubes running through your CPU. If one has a kink and breaks/ruptures you are fucked. Just do the fan trick, clean the hardware and maybe upgrade your in CPU fans.

Problem is that the box has already been opened and my CPU was already turned down from 2.2 GHz to 1.4, but the problem is still there.

I'll clean up the fans and buy some new one probably, thanks for the advices.

I had this problem, I just cleaned both fans, which looked like the dust had managed to transform into a living organism, and it worked just fine afterwards.

I have the same problem except mines is a laptop.

Amd Turion 64 mobile technology.

2 gb of ram.

Nvidia geforce go 6100.

Some kinda gateway laptop not sure specifically.

When I play games sometimes it will just shutdown my pc because of the heat.

mine used to do that too, I just put my laptop ontop of a book so that the fans don't point to the ground. Makes it better. Interestingly I only get this problem on carpet not tables
