actually, yes, I suppose I am, but back then I suppose, and I should know, I just finished my AP World History thingy, that they used it for dance, not just for music, rhythm and such.

I didn't think that was civil as much as it was an ad hominem attack, if its an opinion, there isn't disputing it, only stating an opinion, like I said, I don't like it, I would like it with, say, guitars and such, but you know it wasn't. Let me put it this way, my idea of a solo one where one instrument plays out and the others play an accompaniment, or where there is a break and one person plays, and then the rest come in.

you are doing it wrong. you dont overcategorize music, or partition it or give it guidelines. you just listen to it. this is why you have become limited.

I know and I do listen, and I don't like these kinds of solos, why aren't you guys getting it? I'm saying that I don't like it, and I already listed the kinds of solos I think about and prefer.

No, we're not limited simply because we don't judge the other music that's posted. Like it's been said, we don't judge the music YOU post so stop judging THIS kind of music. That's not narrow minded, that's mature and reasonable. I have listened to the classical music and I enjoy some of it, just not all of it. That's not being limited by any means.

Ya, I'm saying that the person is talented, but I'm also saying that he not really making music, it is just a lot of banging on drums and it really doesn't have any shape or form and so it doesn't take on any characteristic.

dont twist my words. i said sth i dont prefer listening to, i never deny listening to sth for the first time. i have no ideal types of music, no ideal types of bands or artists. i listen to all equally. i can say what good music is because there it is very simple to know when you are listening to good music. i simply may not like it in taste, i do not deny skill, talent, effort or well put conjunctions.
