Fake antivrus, infected my system, got rid of with hijack this but have a feeling it may return and is not dead yet. Any tips? By God, these fucking geeks with no life should be tortured, I would be happy to take a knife and start chopping off their limbs one by one and leave them for a day or two, after that come back and chop off their balls so they can hurt more and leave them with a time bomb in their mouth. Minus the time bomb everything is in my capacity if I find them and I'm pretty sure no hacker nerd can fight me off

it's classified as spyware, like I said, I already have antivirus (webroot) that I believe should take care of it...and dude, I'm not dreaming abt what I can do, just about the misbelief that I will ever find these worthless nerds. But honestly the IT pros should be taking care of this shit (antihackers employed by gov and shit)...it's a known problem, they should go to the site or developer, close down that IP or even ban that whole region/domain until one of them is caught

Here try this...

Combo Fix

DL combo fix. may take a while to run and you will have to redo some of your settings but it will fix what ails you... well your computer.

It will not provide persistent protection for that you should install AVG and Spy Bot S&D

I'd rather have Avast than AVG.. AVG has gotten to bloated now, resource hog.

I love Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware, every call i've had that has to do with a rogue antivirus malwarebytes has never let me down.

I would agree with malware bytes. but you have to pay for it. AVG and Spy Bot S&D are free.

actually.. if you want real time protection from malwarebytes then its like 25 or 30 bucks.. not bad at all if you ask me, but i've found that the quick scan on the free version works great.. that's all i've ever had to use. The only reason i would pay for malwarebytes is to show my appreciation and to help the devs.

Avast is free as well, and i like it much better than i do AVG nowadays.

atm I already have a subscription antivirus, and that works fine as an antivirus. But this rogue antivirus practically pwned webroot, it was ineffictive against it. Tried Spydoctor, that was an epic fail and money stealer as well. Hijack this was epic tho, just found all the keys and shit and I deleted the one with the . tssd ending and insta fix for now. The site also told me to get malware bytes, but I wasn't sure. But from wat I'm hearing is good idea. However, do I have to pay for it to actually remove the virus?

What Rabbit said, Malwarebytes is free, if you want real-time protection - meaning you want it to always be running and actively protecting you then its like 30 bucks - but if you just want to scan and remove an already existing virus just get the free one and run a quick scan, i've found that the quick scan works better than the full scan. When it is finished it will give you the option to remove the selected infections, all for free. http://www.malwarebytes.org

Funny this is here because I just got that little bitch today. I was on my laptop and somehow it got in. I know it's a phony because it says I'm being attacked by some IP address but I manually turned off my wireless with a switch on the side. The bad thing is, it blocks everything saying it's infected and that I need to purchase this shit to get rid of the Trojan. I would manually delete the registry files but it fking blocks all my programs, including Internet browsing.

I would suggest downloading malwarebytes on a diff computer then putting it on there.. if that doesnt work.. run hijack this via safe mode. then do it that way

rofl..go to safe mode or even in normal mode u can run mozilla firefox if u has, it somehow works I guess since it has a diff coding than the average .exe. Go to safe mode and DL hijack this, then rename it to iexplorer.exe (Microsoft should scrap its browser and make an update that deletes it from registry, almost every virus/ hack exploits it). Reboot and quickly run Hijack this (virus takes some time to start being a bitch) and then find something that says 04- user/documents and settings/ random/ random. It generates random but the file name usually ends with .tssd, .sysguard and there was another one, google antispyware soft removal and click on first link its all there.

To start in safe mode, keep tapping F8 before windows starts up, start with networking

it's only 30 bucks.. for a full license not a subscription.. you'd expect that with such a low price, and the fact that they put all that work and virtually gave it away for free, that people would pay the price to support the developers instead of trying to find alternative payment methods

Come on guys, it's easy as 123
- Download Malwarebytes program from here
- Launch Task Manager and end process tdds.exe
- Install program by double clicking mbam-setup.exe setup file.
- Stick to the guidelines when installing the program.
- Make sure you update the program with latest entries.
- Start computer scan by launcing the program and pressing "Scan" button.
- After the scan has been completed, click "Show Results", then "Remove Selected".
- Computer restart might be necessary.

Ending malicious process (step 2) may seem difficult because Task Manager can be blocked. The alternative way to kill the process is using cmd. In the command prompt window enter the line
"taskkill /im process_name"
(for example taskkill /im notepad.exe).
If that did not do the trick try this Antispyware Soft removal guide. Haven't tried by myself so cannot say if it really works.

the process has started generating random names with last part .tssd, so the /taskill would not work without task manager working, and task manager is diabled by this virus, however u can quickly start task manager right after reboot to get the name or end process before virus starts up...doesn't necessarily work.

all programs where was writed here are good and effective.
Scan system by few programs antiviruses and rootkit or antyworm programs.
And next time use firewall not only antivirus. Cos every antivirus can miss some worm. That mix(firewall+antivirus) make ur system more safe.

Now You can use UnHackMe too. It have Registry cleaner too and it started between windows run. So, can clean places where other antiviruses cant touch Smile
