If I see anyone, anyone, in a pool of blood, I don't assume that they are sleeping. It's really just common sense. I don't need to live in New York to say that, unless you think that people that live in New York do not have common sense.To answer Thing's question, I would have called emergency services, and see if I can do anything to help until then.

No disrespect, but look at the first sentence of the article. There was blood. Again, it's common sense to call for help if you see someone dying. My experience in New York shows that most people there have common sense.
