Disturbed's Briefcase
As a JK, it is now my duty to teach other members aspects of this game as they see fit. While I might ultimately decide to screw this and simply specialize in single blades...it would not hurt for me to teach others and even take the Master path. I do have experience in teaching though it is largely unofficial and not as a part of the Sith faction. Now to get down to business...I am not doing this solely for the rank, so personally I do not care how many padawan's I may or may not get, but I am not afraid to drop you or deny you if you display behavior I find inappropriate. But I am also ready to teach anyone regardless of clan reputation or skill with saber. My teachings will deal with the following:
Fanning - Basics, Strategic Use, Pivot
Red Combos - Basics, Damage Amplification, Action Combos, Timing, Strategic Use
Switching - Strategic Use
DFA's/Lunge - Strategic Use, Damage Amplification ------NOTE: I will teach this on request only since most high ranked Saberists will agree that all preprogrammed moves are signs of lack of skill. I may disagree with this and believe they can be used in certain situations and can scare the shit out of an opponent if used correctly. You are not obliged to learn these
Dodging - Basics, Advanced
Judgement - Basics
Staff - Fanning, Switching Uses, Strategy, Glitch Kick
Sorry I do not teach dual sabers
I may not agree with all the known 'pro' techniques and urge any students of mine to listen to others' views on usage of certain techniques and judge for themselves which one works best. However, I guarantee that all my basic and Advanced teachings will be standard and more than enough to take any padawan to Knight.
I will give all I have and expect the student to do the same. I expect a certain degree of respect, which does not mean I want nazi discipline and subservience, but does mean I will not tolerate someone who wants to fool around and is having more fun belittling or insulting me than learning. That will be a certain boot, and you will be missing out on some unorthodox techniques that I can teach on higher levels.
My timings are as follows, all times are GMT-7:
Saturday - 12:00 am - 3:00am*
Sunday - 12:00 am - 3:00 am*
Monday - 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, 12:00 am - 3:00 am *
Tuesday - Unavailable
Wednesday - Unavailable
Thursday - 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm, 12:00 am - 3:00 am*
Friday - 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm, 12:00 am - 3:00 am*
* These times do not necessarily apply to this month because of a guest that is sleeping in my room as well, so being on as late would not be deemed appropriate unless they were completely asleep
Just because I am not on the tracker does not mean that I will not constantly check it, so if you give me a time to be on beforehand then be on, I will get on around that time. In case you have noticed, my late hour timings make it possible for Euro players to have a chance as well, so do not be afraid to request as apprentice the worst I can do is reject it based on timings or my previous knowledge of undesirable acts committed. I will NEVER, I repeat, NEVER reject anyone based on their skill level, hell I like teaching people completely new to the game since it gives me an opportunity to work on a clean slate and not have to erase bad habits
You can contact me on my xfire : disturbedx2
However, I would prefer that you tell me whatever you wish over here or by forum PM
Last of all take it easy, at the end of the day, it is just a game, so its not the end of the world if anything goes slightly wrong or things don't always go according to plan. If we keep that in mind, then maybe we will not get pissed off as easy at every little thing.
We just need to work a little bit to get you to JK level, I'm assuming you've been playing this game for a while
Daglas:
Fanning - advanced, timing, strategy
Red Combos - whole chain
Dodging - Advanced
Switching
Judgement
if we want to get you to JK by next trials, will need to work hard and fast, but don't worry if u don't manage, being new to the game, most of the fun is in learning and you should not try to rush through but to have fun while becoming more powerful.

Re: Disturbed's Briefcase
I stated I am not necessarily taking that path. I may teach 2 or 3 guys, perhaps even get master, and then decide to go for specialist. My main goal here is to help teach people officially..

I would happily accept. Make a thread and ask for permission for this to be official
Alrite I have had two padawans now and have assessed both, here I am posting the courses I think needed by both and then will update the first post with your requirements and progress periodically after this:
Scorch:
Red Combos - Basics, Action Combos, Strategic Use
Switching
Judgement
We just need to work a little bit to get you to JK level, I'm assuming you've been playing this game for a while

Progress update for Daglas:
You improved notably with the fan and I am satisfied that you are on par with other padawans, and perhaps even better since you were restricted to using only fan. I noticed that you got to low hp against other padawan but that was proportional to the time spent on the duel and is how most duels will go especially if you are fanning.
The things u need to work on are:
1. Proper execution. Don't panic, calculate when it should hit as if though you were standing there with the saber and hit. You could easily have won those duels with rave with 100+ hp if you did full fans everytime she was hit instead of a few fan with diagonals
2. Finding the weak spot. You were good at this and were able to attack the opponent when she was exposed and dodge her attacks pretty well. However it can still be improved
3. Dodging, good dodging, but when you are fanning you want to use quick dodges so u can come back and attack the opponent as soon as possible rather than sit back and let the opponent come to you and dictate the rules. Use short jump and back off more (you only need to back up a little bit to avoid the saber and then move back in). You were able to do this well today but need to do so more on a regular basis.
Your Grade for Today : B+
