I bring another nerd debate to the table. Darth Bane or Darth Vader?

Darth Bane came before Vader and perfected Djem-So (Anakins style of fighting) and was single handedly responsible for bringing down the Sith to establish the Rule of Two which every Sith after him upheld not to mention he was the first Sith Ari... How is Anakin better >_>

He actually FIGHTS them, instead of leaving a bomb behind for them all to die. And just so you know, Anakin is to date, considered the best Djem So practitioner in history of both Sith and Jedi.

A bomb that nobody else did, not to mention the cunning it took to orchestrate that kind of plan and the manipulation required to force Kahn into that situation. That's just pure win imo

Yes but Anakin was supposedly the "Chosen One of the Force" and was supposedly one of the strongest sith equal to Bane. If not succeeding him. He was also sneaky and cheated. He went behind the Emperor's Head and took an apprentice (aka Galen Marek) and tried to overthrow the Emperor.
He is also very cunning. His mind is keen, and tactical. His breathing apparatus inspires fear in his enemies.

TFU 1 is, unfortunately, canon. but if you want an insight into Vader's brilliancy, watch Ep 5 as he epicly pwns the rebellion.

True pwng is annihilation. Bane did that. He destroyed ALL the Sith to usher in Rule of Two.

No Bane did more than that. He brought in the values that Darth Vader and Palpatine followed. Who cares if he pwnd the Jedi and he really didn't as there were very few Jedi in the prequel days. Now in Ep. III there was some pwng but even then he had to have clones to back him up but all that aside, yeah Vader pwnd the Jedi but Bane destroyed the Sith to rebirth them into what Palpatine and Vader followed.

there were far more jedi in the Prequels days then in Bane's days. In Banes days, the jedi had just come out of a war with the sith. then they had a 1000 years of peace, strengthened their numbers, their skill, to the pinnacle of society. True, they got pwned after a 1000 years, but if you think about it, Bane actually brought the end of Sith and war in the galaxy for 1000 years ,even if his doings ultimately brought an end to it after but still...

Hard to say. Both were actually more detrimental then helpful to the Sith.

Bane took the Sith from a plausible army to the level of two that, while powerful enough to own 99% of all Jedi, still were just two against thousands. His efforts would have better been spent organizing his own come back in the dark while the Brotherhood kept the Army of Light busy, let them work down to an unmanageable number, then take them both out, but he stupidly got rid of all the Sith that could have managed the Jedi and kept them away from Bane, and only struck minorly at the Jedi and left them hundreds of warrior that Bane could never hope to overcome.

On the plus side Bane was a very powerful warrior with both the Force and a blade, and an intelligent tactician and manipulator. He wasn't as good as either Vader or Palpatine in their fields, but he managed to be great in both fields, something neither Palps nor Vader ever accomplished.

Now we have Vader, and while, on the small scale, his fuck-up wasn't so bad, in the long run, it completely destroyed the Sith. Vader's change of heart dealt a mortal blow to any true Sith and it took well over a century for any group to approach what Palpatine had.

On the plus side, Vader was both the true Chosen One and the true Sith'Ari, because he has the highest Jedi body count of any Sith in history, but was also solely responsible for their downfall, and oddly managed to fulfill the Prophecy of bringing Balance to the Force in a way no one expected: Two Sith, one to hold the power, the other to seek it; Two Jedi, One to hold the wisdom, the other to learn from it.

Vader was an unparaleled fighter with a lightsaber, as Anakin he was capable of holding his own against members of the Jedi Council at the age of 22. As a Sith Lord he was responsible for the death of hundreds of Padawans and Knights and dozens of Masters, perfecting a style of lightsaber combat with such high restrictions on movement, and being capable of beating or stale mating just about any combatant out there when he couldn't lift his arms above shoulder level(Go ahead, try to fight with a sword when you can't rotate your shoulders up). His style of combat was one of brute force by necessity, and he did surprisingly well for having almost no facility for finesse. He was even a decent manipulator when he wanted to be.

Overall, I'd have to go with Bane though. He didn't fuck the Sith as badly since his system did eventually manage to take the Jedi down, and he was rounded enough to prove a difficult quarry in any field. Now if it did come down to a straight fight between them, I have no doubt Vader would win, but this is an overall field, and Bane is more balanced.

Nerdman is a busy man only available when he feels like it. Wild Nerdmen can usually be coaxed out of hiding by sufficient fail factors and require high doses of Epic for survival. Should Epic be lacking a Nerdman will search far and wide for other sources of such Win.
