OK so I really can't decide which way I want to go with this so I want to get your opinions on it. I want Lloyd to start developing his martial skills beyond what he has now by specializing in either Sword & Shield combat, or Dual-wielding Sword combat. Now the Dual-wielding wouldn't be like short swords, they would be full length broadswords.

The main reason I want to know is to decide how the story will progress. If we go with Dual-Wielding we'll be having the full battle with the Lunar Brigade soon. If we go with sword and shield then that battle won't happen until we're about to leave Concord.

hmm. Duel-wielding broadswords would fit better.

A Claymore is just a long broadsword, and as I pointed out Lloyd does know how to wield the Moon Claymore. The secondary sword would be a broadsword very similar to the one Lloyd has already used.

I feel like the second sword should be just a tad smaller than the claymore.

Claymore:
The average claymore ran about 140 cm (55 in) in overall length, with a 33 cm (13 in) grip, 107 cm (42 in) blade, and a weight of approximately 5.5 lb (2.5 kg).

Broadsword measurements:
Weight 2.5 lbs. (1.1 kg)
Length 36 inches (91.4 cm)
Blade length 29 inches (73.9 cm)

So a Broadsword weighs half as much and is two-thirds the length of a Claymore. Now Lloyd can already wield his own sword one-handed, so while it would require training for him to comfortably wield two blades like that it's not impossible. Remember, swords in Concord are made of a different material, they are lighter and can conduct magic along the length of the blade.

Posted. Quick notes: The High Priest is supposed to be suspicious, so if you want to do a segment with the Kinder Pto then have fun. Pretty much everyone is going to end up outside the apartment: Lloyd & Jun are heading to get Lloyd a Kodachi to serve a a back-up sword, or a just plain quick-work weapon. Stock, Damean, & Kelgori are out getting supplies of a sort, clothes, food, but open to pretty much anything, as are the Kinder.

By the way this is essentially the jumping off point for the second Act, the Lunar Brigade is going to feature a bit more prominently and I'll probably finish up with them as a group by the end.

Well not looking to spoil, but essentially the Brigade will be defeated as a whole and the only one left will be Laro who I plan to expand on immensely.
