Dray, yes, my plan was to have mutliple battles to take a planet, and there will even be star bases and other areas where a 1 v 1 battle will solve who controls it, and then it will confer an advantage like having an extra player next battle for that planet etc. Trust me I have some great ideas in the works and when I am ready to open the flood gates I will gather some new commissioners again to work things out.

Its not going to be overly complicated. The planets will just be harder and the battles for them will rage longer. A simple single battle will not take a planet anymore, and once a planet is fully conquered it will be much harder to retake because the owner will have a lot of bonuses from controlling the entire planet. Once you have enough planets, you will start to get bonuses for attacking planets you dont own as well. Then the war will truly start to swing in that factions favor.

i like the sound of this champ. but im curious. will special ranks be allowed to fight or will we still have to watch =/

Well skorp to answer your question. The 1 v 1 battle will require a special rank to fight in it. For instance, a Sith Overlord will face a Jedi Guardian for control of a small space station which will grant bonuses etc. No other rank may fight for control of the space station.

I have an idea for the natives of a planet. I think it would be more fun and "realistic" if the natives of a neutral planet were Merced and only 1 or 2 of them would wield a lightsaber. Just forbid the people with merc to use some of the weapons like the concussion rifle <---- spelling? and other weapons that are not good for the game.

Why you ask? Because as I understood the natives are militia and not jedi. And since ordinary citizens dont have lightsaber they should have normal weapons. About the lightsaber users they should be of people of high rank (Combat Spec. ,SO, JM etc.) because they could be like sended on a diplomatic mission or peacekeeping or something, therefore the jedi shouldn't be in large numbers.

oooh, i like the sound of that, but it would probably not pass since when people abuse merc, the server crashes.

I think being merc'd would be boring imo and take away from the excitement of really killing some1 rather then spraying around an e-11
