As many of you know I'm a Star Wars nerd. What most of you don't know is that I'm also a bit of a Halo nerd. Played every game except ODST(no money to buy it), read every novel, even read all the comics save the very recent one(again no money to buy it). I even watched all the live action commercials they did for Halo 3 pre-release.

So imagine my shock, when suddenly, while on Narutowire, I stumble across something called Halo Legends, an anime-styled series released last year. One I never saw an add for anywhere, not even on Halopedia. I mean it's not the greatest thing they could have done, but dammit I love me my Halo stories so why the hell did I never hear of this before today?!

I'm probably just slow, and many have already heard of this, but on the off-chance someone hasn't: http://www.narutowire.com/1544/Halo-Legends

Now for any anime haters out there, yes it is styled on anime in most parts, but still give episodes 3 & 4 a chance. Very little anime influence in those, and it was a-fucking-mazing, full of win. Exactly how I think they should do the movie if they ever actually get around to producing it.

Halo movie...lol aard. dont wish for a pile of crap like that please. i already dislike Halo story. not the most original, but it serves its purpose for a game. not a movie.

Exactly what Dray said. In reality the only thing that Halo brought to the gaming world was a massively played coop game on the XBox.

I didn't even like the co-op except for the custom games, which is truly the greatest Jewel of the Halo series.

Geez, way to kill my buzz. Halo story, not the ones in the games but the story you get by actually reading the novels, is the best I've seen in terms of consistency and has a more realistic showing of what warfare would be like for mankind if we ever did get so far along without destroying ourselves. The story in Halo is a hell of a lot better then most other game stories, like Starcraft.

Oh ya, i thought that the story, though not completely original, was very well written, like, the way it was done, very and highly unique.

Half Life and some RPGs are the only games i consider having a story worthy of being called a good story, IN TERMS OF PLOT. in terms of video games, most games have a good story, as long as it makes you wanna hear more, its good enough and fits well. and that is why i agree that in a game, it shouldnt be too much of story(*cough* MGS sux *cough*). That is why i said its not worthy of a movie. i havent read the novels, so i dont know. im talking about the games here. the plot simply wouldnt make a good movie. it does a good game thou.

The movie would be based off of the first two novels which catalog the Fall of Reach and the events on Halo from a narrative point of view rather then an FPS point of view.

The Fall of Reach, and The First Strike, are easily some of the best Sci-Fi novels I have ever read, better then just about any Star Wars novel with the possible exception of Betrayal. If you guys get some time you really should check out some of them, I would recommend Fall of Reach because it explains a lot of the back-story and has a good amount of action writing.

Believe it or not, the books have little to nothing to do with the Halos in the series. They tend to stick to the Spartan's story, you know, there's more then one in the series.

WHERE THE HELL HAS THIS BEEN?!?!?!? Ringworld(1stEd)

WHERE THE HELL HAS THIS BEEN?!?!?!? H2-Delta_Halo_Exterior_1600

Pls Aard, even u have to admit how much it rips off Ringworld. Sure the story goes towards the spartans, but the first game, is a complete copy of Ringworld. And in my opinion, the best of the trilogy was the first game.

The ring yes, the story no. Ringworld is a mystery about a species who creates an artificial ring world, then dies out and the finder's quest to find out why they died out. Halo is a drama about humans fighting a covenant of different aliens, both of whom stumble across a Ring that is one of seven weapons capable of destroying all sentient life in the Galaxy, and the subsequent waring over the two sides, one trying to activate it in religious fervor, the other trying to keep them off to save lives. The only consistent elements in these two stories are: 1. The Ring, which yes it's obviously a steal from the novel. 2. The ancient species that built it and mysteriously died out, and if you're going to say that's a direct steal, then you have to say Starcraft, Star Wars, and even Star Trek stole the idea as well.
