because, if you listen to the album version of the song, it sounds the same minus the effects. Plus that was all improvised, going in, they had no idea they were going to be performing. I don't see bands doin stuff like this at all.

lol, many ppl do that. go to Barcelona, and a dance sequence, or a concert will just start out in the streets. specially in summer. many artists and guitar players, bands doing it. hell, this was done at my school back in the days. we called some guys, they brought drums guitars, set it up, played some songs.

You're missing the entire point. Its not that they do it in the cramped setting like that, mainly, the main point is how close it sounds compared to the album version is so close in that environment. Again I dont see bands doing this. I dont have to go to Barcelona and see it, I could give a care less because this isn't a normal things for bands to do, which is why you dont see bands doing it. You're also forgetting that this was improvised, this was just a CD signing, they weren't called and said "Come play" this is the stores instruments, not their own.

well it is nice, but they decided to give their fans a song. cool. and any band who praises themselves is ready to play their own songs. they practice them. this is really nice, but its not ....speechless.

It's speechless for me because I am a musician and that is what I plan to do for the rest of my life. It takes a lot to be able to do that and still showcase good musicianship. I appreciate this more than you do for that reason, thats why it makes me speechless. Nihil, is Mozart alive improvising? No. He had good stuff and I am sure he could improvise, but this is a different style of music and a different setting.

If he could do that, he could sure as heck make these guys feel worthless.

No. He had good stuff and I am sure he could improvise, but this is a different style of music and a different setting.

this is an open ended statement that makes me think that you are challenging his ability to improvise.

I never said which music is better I said different and the setting is different. Its easier to do on a piano when you're one person. You have 4 here playing different instruments, not to mention that the instruments aren't at their full capacity. The drummer uses one snare a hi hat and a bass drum and he still makes it sound like the album version which is a full drum set. Yes, the fact that they are in a cramped music store, completely improvising the song. That's a different setting than most concerts that have been done.
