Kotor, that's not your job first of all, and second, it hasn't even passed, due to revisions.

i agree with this 100% but i dont think unless your going to go onto the main server you shouldn't have to register your name also what if your an admin and just making sure everything is okay when there isnt a admin on? then everyone will see the name and say okay we will be good when we see this name.... ? you should rethink this like you must register it to a member of leadership like the council per say in a PM... just a thought tho

We've added a clause to a revised version specifying that Regulators and Councilors can have unregistered names, but have to switch to a tagged name before taking serious action.

The difference is that if your alias isn't registered, and if it's untagged, you'll be treated as a Guest with none of the second chances members get.

By who? I'm willing to overlook cursing and team killing by some members if I know it's in jest or likely to be an accident. I don't give guests that much leeway.

second level admin. above enforcer, below councilor.

also aard, members are part of our servers. they represent us when they are there, and know the clan and server better. it is their duty to be good players. guests are new(unless they are regualr customers) and they deserve a looser leash to get to know the rules. im not talking about jokes or jests, im talking about rule breaking.

I'm still more likely to be lenient with Clan Members then Guests. I know clan members, and I know whether the rule breaking was an accident or purposeful. Guests I don't know so they get 1 warning, then punishment, whereas a member I will remind, warn, THEN punish.

when i was an admin in snj i reminded the guest 2 times and the 3rd strike was when the punishments started, members on the other hand had 1 warning makes a clan look bad when the members can go around doing w/e they want does it not? i mean even an admin should be able to get punished should they not? i mean if you can punish a member/guest for doing something wrong you can punish a admin aswell? can you not?

Clan Tags Act - Pending - Page 3 Empty Re: Clan Tags Act - Pending

Post by Aardvark Thu Dec 03, 2009 12:20 pm

OK, hypothetical. You have a no swearing rule. You have a clan mate having a bad day, and when they loose they say "I can't fight worth shit today." You warn them, they apologize for letting it go, then an hour or so later they go "Fuck it, it's just not my day." Your action would be to silence them for breaking the rule after a warning, I wouldn't because I've been there, and so has anyone who's played this game for more then a few months.

Now say you have a guest. They say "Fucking cunt!" to someone they lose too, you warn them, they say "Fuck off pussy!" You warn them again and they quiet down knowing you might actually be able to do something, then right before they leave they say "Your clan sucks a dick!" and they disco before you can admin them. They made you look like a fool and get away with it knowing they can come back an hour later with a different name and do the same.

So my question to you is this: Why trust someone you don't know more then the people you do? Those same clan members that have to pass a 2 week probation you give less a benefit of the doubt then some random idiot. Now I'm not saying don't admin clan members and admins, I'm saying don't give someone you don't know more lenience then someone you do.
