so that link is just an example of what was said(i wont say promised because he never promised anything) of the director when he took up the role of being the new creative director of lucasarts. he said that he had the idea of wanting to reboot some of the old game series and/or create a whole new series. but since this article and others have came out, there hasnt been a word about what they're thinking about doing or even working on(from what i can see).

so whats your opinion about this new director? do you think he'll actually reboot the series or create a new one? or will he just ruin the company?

I gave up on ever getting an Imperial Commando game years ago. It's been 7 years, if it's not in development for that long it means it's not going to happen.

I've also given up on some of their old game series to be brought back. No new rogue squadron/x-wing game and no battlefront III. When I get a better computer this summer, I'm getting Cod 4 and the galactic warfare mod. Besides, I already feel lucasarts has been ruined due to the force unleashed II, the more younger generation based games, and they just simply haven't made a really good game in a while.

well thankfully the director of TFU quit!! all lucasarts needs is the directors from 2000-2006 and lucasarts would thrive again!!

After the events in Republic Commando you're coming off Kashyyyk with news about the Jedi turning and the Republic being reformed as the Empire. So yeah the sequel would be Imperial Commando.

i would think it would be rebel commando or something cuz you play the good guys. as imperial commandos youd be killing alooooot of innocents

Actually anything can happen now that there is a new director. However don't hold your breath for anything like a JK4 or the Republic Commando sequel.

I've read what happens to the commandos after the game, they stayed with the Empire.

I tried reading the book series but found them to boring to finish

hmm i suspected as much. but still, if they made a sequel, it wouldnt have to be the same commando's though. could be like a rebel commando or something.
