soo to play older games...

like kotor2 for instance, i would have to down-grade my nvidia drive from 256 something to 45 lol? when i ran the hardware scan, it pointed out my drives were out of date. EVEN THOUGH the detonator 45.23 came out in 2003 ...

If i do this, how would it affect my computer? i run vista btw. Would JA still work wonderfully? any internet problems?? etc..

Did you try to run the game or you just scanned the hw requirements?

i ran the game, and it said the game stopped working. Then i checking the requirments and the only thing "out of date" was the nividia drive...EVEN THOUGH mine is update =_=

Well, installing a previous version of the display driver could solve the problem indeed and you wouldn't have any problem with JA too, although if you play any of the newer games which require the up-to-date driver, they probably would have problems.

I'm not quite familiar with vista, but you may try to run the game in XP mode (right click on the shortcut icon, go to properties and tick the right box). If that doesn't help, go here and follow the instructions.
