Avatar: the Last Airbender. Not the movie, because what I can tell, it's a terrible misrepresentation of the series, which might be the only "anime" I've ever actually enjoyed. Watching this on Netflix right now.

MOVIE EFFIN SUCKED. Might be because I used to watch 10 episodes a day but still, they had to try to suck that hard.

Is it really anime? I mean it's drawn in an anime type style but it's done by Americans. I usually think of anime as Japanese cartoons. As for good animes, I don't watch many, but I thought Death Note was great.

The world outside Japan regards anime as "Japanese animation".[1] Anime originated about 1917.[2]

Also, Death Note is good because it is HIGHLY different from anime style, it is very very western adopted, wich makes it highly original. Avatar isnt anime in my perspective.
