Charger/battery problem Empty Charger/battery problem

Post by Dawn_Twilight Tue Jan 26, 2010 9:00 am

Okay

trying to charge my laptop it keeps saying "Plugged in, not charging"

....??????

So I remove the battery, wait a bit and run it off the charger, it's fine, I do the same thing with the battery

So why isn't it charging?

o_O Just read this while googling my problem

"Seems odd that it doesnt charge the battery if it detects 98% charge. *If* it is a hardware problem it could be your powersupply.

I suppose it could be a way to not wear out the battery so fast too. If you keep your laptop on AC for days at a time, I suggest you remove the battery once it's fully charged and put it in your fridge. It'll make the battery last longer."

I virtually keep it on AC =\ o.o to the fridge

Fixed it. Wasn't the Battery or Charger

It was the fucking Windows 7 operating system

Apparently it carried over some fricking bugs from Vista! Stupid Bill Gates!

No. Asus submits their own Mini OS with their computers, at least this one

I booted that up via the switch on the opposite side of the Power button

Plugged in the charger, it said charging, switched to Windows 7 OS and now it charges there too..
