Depends on what you want. Pirates have more fun, and get bitties. Ninjas are cooler and deadlier.

Honestly, pirates would hardly get bitties, if they're out to sea all the time.

Better question. Why would a Ninja be out at sea so that he would be vulnerable to a cannon?

Dude, Ninja's could raid a ship, without the pirates knowing they just got raided.

Anyway, Pirates live by the sea...

Ninjas are the elements, bro.

ok I'm going to compare Ninja fiction with Pirate fiction

Ninjas have; Batman (trained by ninjas thus a ninja), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Including bad guys), Naruto And Ryu Hyabusa from Ninja Gaiden

Pirates have; One Piece, Captain James Hook.....hmm oh and Captain Pugwash.... Yeah I'm siding with Ninjas...Don't wanna get my ass kicked

Batman is not a ninja, no matter how much you want him to be. a ninja doesnt flail around in costumes and makes himself an icon. he may have ninja skills, but hes not a ninja.

yes but they are icons to you. in their universe, they are unknown heroes, hidden in the sewers of new york. im talking classically, not the new bullshit stories about them. Batman has ninja training but he is not a ninja. The city of Gotham knows him, and he is the cities icon. He may move in the shadows but he does not make his existence a secret.

If it's a straight on battle with each side..pirates would win simply because of weaponry. Pirates have cannons, rifles, pistols, and plus if you want to take modern pirates uzis, assault rifles, etc. How do you dodge someone who can kill with a twitch of his finger?

However, If it comes to swordplay ninjas would win. Simply because ninja's have martial arts training, though a pirate could take fencing and is unpredictable.

And you forgot as a fictional pirate Long John Silver. Plus, Did you know it took Blackbeard 18 cutlass slashes and 4 pistol shots to take him down?
I think that beats a ninja in badass death.

First off, Ninja's would't even be seen, so your argument is invalid.

As for the deaths...
