What do you recommend?

I wan't a FPS game for pc, with mid requirements (I mean, without needing a last-gen machine), with puzzles, surprising things (like unexpected enemies showing up) and with a long singleplayer mode. It can be a survival horror.

I'm not serious. Call of Duty is an awful series, besides Black Ops. Play that if any.

Then try HL 2 Episode 1 and 2. Cheap and good.

You said you played HL 1 and 2. The graphics are as demanding as 2 is...

If you've never played Halo, which I feel you have, it's a great series.

Get Halo 1. You'll enjoy it. You could probably get by with playing up to Halo 3 with your specs. I was able to play Halo 1 on an extremely outdated terrible computer, and the rest of the games don't require more than 1.

Republic Commando, Halo's good but I'd suggest going straight to 2 unless you feel you're good at FPSs, uhh if you're worried about running stuff after Half life 2 that kind of limits it to things over 5-7 years old...
