i hate these showcases. most of it is bullshit. at least this one shows some realistic asset creation(when you see them building the port) but you can forget about the face rendering and ocean DX11 and all that crap. thats just pre rendered animation, and no game will carry those(most computers will explode if you try to make it into the real time engine). it reminds me of the UT3 showcases, with their character rendering that will never ever happen in a game for the next 5 years. and if it does, it will be prerendered animation(e.g. mass effect 2 and 3 character leveling menu faces, wich are prerendered, and not ingame).

BUT, i have a new SDK to mess around with. will download it.

Dray's right. Just because they're showing it, doesn't mean you'll have it. At least not until you get some kick-ass graphics card and processor to handle all that shit.

amazing looking engine. the only thing is though, that the companies that will use it, will ether have to hire ALOT more programmers or whatever the proper title it is for it, or else its gonna take alot longer for the game to be finished. just because they have added so many more dimensions to it, the design of just a, lets say, an old rundown building could take a couple days just to do, out of a whole city they have to make.

Cryengine is better than UE(UnrealEngine) with physics, graphics and stuff. So this one is surely better that the rest. Saw new vid about UE...well got disappointed. Nothing new, just better textures :/
