that is cool. I can see many applications for this tech. I hope they get it cheap and main stream soon.

i dont see many. it would have, if it didnt need the supercooling to work. unfortunately, anything to do with superconductivity needs the insane ammounts of cooling to work(this is WAY more cold than any refrigerator people have at home, so no, it doesnt come out at the same expense as that.)
in industries you get that high end power to cool the materials. even so, the uses this has, are already being used in scientific investigation.
the day we can bypass the super low temperatures to create these mechanisms, itll have applications.

Wow, that's cool...but far from the real use... Needs a couple of decades before it can be used widely...
