Blame the bureaucratic system, operation 40 was started before jfk was even in the white house. He tried canceling it, he made the fbi take away their c4 and napalm. Then tried to cancel the whole thing because relations were improving with cuba(he thought). Jfk was un-committing us in vietnam, loas, and cambodia. He had a plan, which was to prevent major wars and atomic ones. "got a lot of people killed." at least he was somewhat honest in what he was doing, and actually stood for something. LBJ stepped over jfks dead body just to lie to the american people about the gulf of tonkin incident. Lied about commitment in country, lied about the draft. Lied about how the war was actually going. Then because he was an actual coward who gave up, he stepped down and decided not to run for reelection. Then even bigger lairs and killers took over; Nixion and Kissinger. There continued use of the agent orange toxin (after Nixon told america he would never continue using chemicals in war) He lied so much and was so fucking sideways he was almost impeached out of presidency.

Everyone accused jfk of being soft on communism and traitor. Nixon saw no real absolute victory in vietnam after increasing bombing and operations. Nixon was the one who made a deal with china's mass murderer mao, who killed way more people then the nazis ever could. when america was pulling out of vietnam, china was building up it's forces to invade N.vietnam, which was apart of the Nixon and mao talks. Nixon wanted to nuke the north, and bomb dam's to cause max casualty. Nixon and lbj showed no restraint and got millions of people killed and wounded.

JFK restrained from falling into the trap of war. He saved more lives then he forced to be lost. How many presidents can you say that about?

He allowed the training an deployment to go forward. if he wanted to pull the plug he could have said cancel it and it would have been. He sent those men to die thinking they had the support of the US government and he allowed them to be slaughtered.

The President is the final authority in military matters in the US, if he could not control his armed forces and intelligence agencies then he was no where near the man or President you claim that he is.

he did control his units. Thats why the air didnt go in. The cia made the call of sending in the units. The Cia obviously wernt loyal to jfk. I dont really know what kind of man he was,i know he did lie about vietnam, and something about the mob helping him and then him stabbing them in the back or something. I am very certain about his ideals on not wanting to start a major conflict though. So i respectively differ viewpoints with you

I suggest you checking out these films out, if you have not ever seen them:

sorry if i showed you these already, but i these are films made by top heads themselves.

I have seen several documentaries on the subject. All i have seen indicates that they, the CIA and the ex-patriots doing the fighting, believed they had the full backing of the government and all the assets were not only available but in the air on the day. Waiting for the word of the president to be allowed to engage. all while JFK was getting ready and attending a party.

To much class right there.

Yes we disagree. In my thinking there are very few times that we need to go to war. most of them include emanate threats to the security of the US. Iccl about anywhere else.we need oil? pump it out of our own soil.

"JFK was getting ready and attending a party." ill take your word on it, but they more then likely had/went to McNamara who probably shot them down

well just look at the presidential itinerary and see where he was on the day the bay of pigs invasion happened.

i just remember vaguely, could be wrong about it. I will with draw it for the sake of argument.

If jfk didnt approve of it, and the agents went in regardless, i dont think they would of wanted jfk to know about it so he could stop it. I also speculate that it would take more then just 24 hours to build up on an invasion force and plan. I dont think well ever really know what truly happen, I wish i could of been there to really know what happen.
